Stock Optimisation Programme (StOP)

Summary

Major issues.

Used Vehicle Stock Management is very important – yet we still often see major issues like overstock, very old stock, or limited inventory, without any countermeasures.

Support programme.

To remedy this, we have developed a support programme which delivers effective countermeasures in just three days, and which will result in healthy stock.

Follow-up process.

For interested customers, we co-develop with the management team a follow-up process for remotely reviewing the stock on a regular basis.

Results
  • Outcome strongly depends on internal commitment
  • With the right commitment, KPIs can and do improve fast. It’s not unusual to see:
    • Aged stock reduce from 50% to 10%
    • Stock rotation improve with 40%
Learning
  • Despite the importance of stock management and the straightforwardness of KPIs, we see a very limited amount of sustainable processes in this area
  • As a result, the imbalance between ideal stock profile and actual stock remains one of the main challenges in used vehicle management
